Thanks so much for the Legitimizing Your Gifted Needs workshop. I appreciated Jen’s thorough coverage of differing needs models and her light touch — as in “use what’s useful”, offering kung fu accuracy and permission to pay attention to what works. Such a big relief from typical dogmatic approaches common to so many psychology/physiology models, which are often factional, competitive, and confusing! Everyone has needs and the needs of gifted people seem to be routinely over-ridden in ways that are often overlooked. Being presented with a number of models and ways of interpreting needs has proven quite useful. The class was greatly appreciated. I got a lot out of it and got some much needed mirroring.
